Yes. Your email address identifies your account. Also you will receive important information via email.
What if I don't have an email address?
You can create a free email account from several email service providers. Check with your internet provider or get an account at
Yahoo,
Google, or others.
My spouse and I share an email address. Can we use that one email address for our It's My Marriage! account?
You can; however, we advise against it. We suggest each spouse create their own account so they can take the training privately. By taking the course individually, each spouse will be able to solidify personal thoughts before discussing them together using the techniques taught in the course. Also, please keep in mind that whomever has access to the account will be able to read the private notes.
I didn't receive the confirmation email after my registration.
The confirmation email is titled "Welcome to It's My Marriage!" If you haven't received the confirmation email, check your junk or spam mail folder. If you still cannot find the confirmation message,

How do I begin a course?
If the course does not begin, there may be a problem with your computer's settings. See System Requirements, or click "Send a Comment" for help from It's My Marriage! Support.

After you purchase the training, you have 365 days to begin it. Once you begin It's My Marriage!, you have 30 days to complete it. If 30 days pass, and it has not been more than 365 days past your purchase, you will be offered one, free, 14-day extension.
What are Handouts and how can I access them?
From your Personal Home page click "handouts" under "Learning Resources." Then click on the name of the handout. It will open in a separate window. You can print or save that document if you want. You can also access the handouts while viewing the course by using the "Handouts" tab next to the course syllabus.
Can I skip through some parts or repeat a session?
Yes, you may skip parts of the training or repeat a session. However, we recommend taking the course in the order given, as some of the techniques build on each other.
How long will these sessions and exercises take?
This workshop has a lot of interactive participation and the time commitment depends on the effort put into the exercises. We know the entire workshop will take about 7 hours. Some of the workshop sessions and assignments will be longer than others.
Technical:
Can I view the It's My Marriage! course on my phone or mobile device?
Yes, however a bigger screen will make for a nicer viewing experience.
I am on a dialup Internet connection. Why does the course take so long to load?
Our courses are built with rich multimedia content. We recommend high-speed internet connections for viewing our courses. We have worked hard to optimize the courses so that they can be viewed via a dialup connection with reasonable download time. If dialup is your only option, please be patient. Another option is to use a computer at your local library. Libraries usually have high-speed internet available to the public. You may need to take headphones to listen to the course at a library. Your It's My Marriage! account can be accessed from any computer with an internet connection.
The course does not load. The page says an error has occurred.
If all you see on the screen is the "remote control" on the left and nothing on the right in the viewing area, the most likely cause is that Javascript is disabled on your computer. See
Enabling Javascript.
A slow internet connection can also produce this problem. High speed connections, such as DSL or cable, are recommended for viewing

The course plays, but there's no sound.
Audio volume problems can occur for a variety of reasons. Following are a few tips that may help you pinpoint the problem.
Is "Mute" On?
Check to make sure that none of the sound controls—including physical controls on keyboards and speakers and software controls such as the Windows volume control (typically accessible via a speaker icon in the taskbar in the lower right corner of the screen)—are set to mute.
Is The Volume Turned Up?
Check to make sure that the volume is turned up in all sound controls, including physical controls on keyboards and speakers, and also software controls such as the Windows volume control (typically accessible via a speaker icon in the taskbar in the lower right corner of the screen).
Are Speakers/Headphones Installed, On, and Working?
Can you hear other multimedia played with the computer, such as videos on YouTube or music on iTunes? If not, and adjusting volumes and turning on the speakers doesn't solve the problem, consult a professional computer technician to assist you with the installation and configuration of speakers and sound settings.
Handouts are blank or will not open.
Handouts are published in Adobe Acrobat, also known as a PDF document. A free software program called Acrobat Reader is required download and view PDF files.
The handouts cannot be opened if Acrobat Reader is not installed, or if the browser does not recognize the presence of the Acrobat Reader software, or if the Acrobat Reader software is significantly out of date.
To solve this problem, download and install the latest free version of Acrobat Reader from:
